Day 1 of 2016

by | Jan 1, 2016 | Reading | 0 comments

Today started off with me being super tired, I just bought a mobile home in December and received access to it on the 31st which is stressful with school starting soon, work and having to renovate between the two.

To make the story long, I received access to the home weeks ago but the owner still had things in there she wanted to take so she said and she would never find the time to come and get her things. When she came on the 30th I decided to go there and start working on the outside since I wouldn’t do anything in the inside until she took her “stuff” and cleaned. What ended up happening is a mess of a cleanup, which I think made the place look worse and she left all the stuff which I didn’t need honestly. After she left I was so upset because I would have had time and help to renovate the place in December but it’s now January and my brother is starting school so here I am left to do everything on my own.

My brother was kind enough to come on the 30th, and helped me take down two walls that day. I will have to put them back myself but his help made my progress that much more.

So when I arrived home at the end of that day after dropping him off at the train to head back home, and doing some more yard work at the trailer I was bit. I took a shower and went straight to bed. Safe to say, I stayed in on New Years Eve and watched Married at first sight with Alex who fell asleep during the first episode we/ I watched that night.

With such a long day ending 2015, I woke up feeling very grateful for my past year. Yes there were a lot of disappointment, and lesson learned. But I am counting my blessings entering the new year and I wouldn’t be happier.

🔅I wanted to buy a home by 22, it has always been one of my goals. Even though I didn’t buy a stick it brick house on my own land I did buy a mobile home. Which is all mine to do with as I please.

🔅My family is by my side supporting me in my decisions and I wouldn’t ask for anything better.

🔅Alex and I are in a good place, we have our problems like everyone else but we don’t argue or fight. I have a caring boyfriend who is currently my closest friend.

🔅I changed my major from Philosophy to Bussiness Management in Finance, and even though it pushed my graduation back I believe this is the right path for me.

I am excited to see what this year will bring, and having you share my adventurers.

XO Katongo.
